Curly hairstyles

There are two kinds of people who have curly hair—those who love it and those who do not. Naturally curly hair can be a great asset especially if you know how to maintain and handle it but it can also be a disadvantage because it can sometimes get out of control. Not to mention, curly hair can also be dry, unpredictable and hard to manage.

Different Kinds of Curly Hair

Afro - Characterized as having tight coiled curls that appears as if wire like hair, afro is considered the most fragile type of curly hair because it has few cuticles in the hair shaft and can easily be damaged.

Boticelli - Boticelli is the type of curl that appears like the letter “S”. These curls fall flat on the head and are usually fine to medium in texture.

Corkscrew - The curls that appear like small, tightly wound coils are called corkscrew. This type of curls appears frizzy and dry, and people with this kind of hair usually find it hard to comb or style their tresses.

Kinky - Kinky curls are very small and tight ringlets that forms a letter “S” or “Z” when you pull it straight. Like the corkscrew, this type of curly hair can also be dry, frizzy and prone to damage.

Wavy - Wavy curls are the loosest among all of them. This is probably the easiest to manage among the other curl types.

Eating healthier!!

Hey everyone, so I have been eating really bad this past month or so, and it's time to change that. Usually what I do (if it's a school day) is skip breakfast (or just have hot chocolate, which is not nutritional anyway) and have a good lunch (usually a sandwich from Jimmy John's) along with some form of desert (such as a cookie :/) and then when I get home I eat a bunch of ice cream, along with pasta for dinner.
Obviously this is not healthy. So, I am going to try to change these horrible eating habits of mine! I did used to be very controlling about what I ate so while I'm trying not to do that anymore this has gotten out of hand.. Until I can control myself no more ice cream!
Also, I am going to make it a plan to eat much more fruit/protein/veggies. Tomorrow I am going to try to get up early enough to get a Starbucks strawberry and blueberry parfait for breakfast, then for lunch I will have my usual - Jimmy John's sandwich (#4 with cheese if anyone was wondering) and for dinner I am not exactly sure what I'll have but I'm going to try my best not to have any ice cream!
I will probably make a little vlog tomorrow about all of this going more into detail..
I'm sorry for those of you that this is not an interesting topic, let me know so I won't waste videos on that.
Hope everyone's having a good week. I am going to try to get a tutorial up tomorrow morning! :)

Requests please!

So this week I am going to start doing some tutorials on my youtube channel and I need requests! So comment on this post or on one of my videos with requests because I don't want to bother posting videos that no one will find useful!
Also, if you would like me to post videos (or blog posts) on other topics that may or may not be beauty/fashion related, request them here or on any video of mine!
Hope everyone's having a good weekend!

Hurting myself too much lately!

So I went to the doctor yesterday morning about my thumb, he said that I tore the knuckle capsule. While it isn't incredibly painful, it will take 3 - 4 months to completely heal. Wonderful. So now I'm stuck with a wonderful thumb splint/brace.. And it hurts when I try to keep it mobile :( However it is so annoying to have on when I eat so I was out to lunch with my boyfriend today and I took it off and I could tell he didn't believe me about the fact that it was a serious injury because he said that I didn't have to wear the splint, but frankly even though it can be a pain, it is so much more comfortable and then my thumb doesn't hurt as much :) Plus it's a good reminder when I have dance so that I don't aggravate it accidentally. Sometimes if I get too excited about dance I forget about my pain, and that's never good, because I always make it worse!
Today as I was walking to class, I slipped on slush and fell and my whole right side got soaked with gross street slush. Yuck yuck yuck! And then after that, on my way up the escalator, I slipped on the escalator and fell and I scraped my knee really badly! I couldn't even find a band-aid to keep it covered so that I didn't get any kind of infection! Oww :( Although, I do have to say, I put Country Comfort Herbal Savvy on it (from Whole Foods or any natural/organic health food store) and it hasn't really been hurting since, which is great, because my knee was killing me for like four hours after my second fall.
Bad energy today.. Oy. Hopefully it'll all be better tomorrow, also I posted a video today, it's the 8 Most Worn Things Tag, click here. (..Currently the video is still processing but just go to my main youtube page [GlamGolightly] and it will be there when it is done processing.)
So, since I fell I didn't bother changing back to my pants I had on before my dance class so I wasn't able to post an outfit of the day, but if you watch the video link above you can see part of the shirt, I would link it but I can't find it on the Forever 21 website! :( I wore that with a pair of black leggings and my grey Emu boots, along with a little black wool cap. I got the cap/hat ages ago so I can't find a link but here's a similar look. It is that style except it is black and wool with no bow. I'll probably wear the cap-hat in a video sometime soon, and I'll point it out then if I remember :) Hope everyone is having a good week!
